COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Watch D.o.g.s.
Dads of Great Students is a program sponsored by the National Center for Fathering. The programs invites fathers and father-figures into the school for one day to spend the day with their child. You get to see what your child does and act as a positive role model for the children at school.
To get started, fill out a PISD Volunteer Application online. Once approved, use the PTA WATCH D.O.G.S. Calendar link (https://www.jacksonpta.com/volunteer/94352) to select your volunteer time.
When you join Friends of the Plano Public Library, you are supporting a valuable resource open to all in our community. Last year the five Plano libraries checked out over 4.7 million items, had in excess of 1.5 million visits, and welcomed more than 140,000 people to free programs!
Cub Scouts
Scouting helps nurture courage and kindness and allow kids to play, to laugh, to develop their imaginations, and to express their feelings. Having fun doing things they like to do, they also learn new things, discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships.
As a Patriotic Societies and per Texas legislation, Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSA) are allowed an opportunity to share information regarding membership opportunities for students. [See Plano ISD’s Policy GKE(LOCAL).] The following information regarding Girl Scout membership is being shared with you for your review.
